How to launch a successful product

When you’re in a competitive marketplace, launching a new product takes a lot of work. Fortunately, there is an easy way to make sure that your campaign will be a success. A good plan can mean the difference between a hugely successful campaign, or a complete failure.

Take these 5 simple steps into consideration and watch the effect it will have on your results.

1) Generating buzz in the marketplace.

The first step to a successful product launch is getting the market excited. Create anticipation and scarcity with your marketing efforts to get people talking about your product and the launch in their favourite online forums. The more exposure you can generate, the more chance you have of being successful. Movie studios do this all the time with pre-release trailers and teasers that get people talking. Get the public interested, get them salivating, and keep them on ‘the hook’. Get this step right and you can literally guarantee yourself a bigger payday when it comes to finally release.

2) Make sure everything is in order.

It’s no good having a huge pre-launch and follow up if your ordering process is not working correctly. Make sure to test every single element of the sales process to ensure that there are no hiccups on launch day. The last thing you want to do is have people beating down the door to pay you, but have your merchant account suspended, or your sales letter incomplete.

3) Bring on some big partners to help.

If you can find joint venture partners to help you launch the product your chances of success are greatly increased. Having other people on board can really scale your profits up with little more work. Even if you pay them a percentage of the profits, you will undoubtedly end up financially better than you would from your own efforts alone.

4) Getting proof from other people

Find people who are willing to test out your product for free in return for feedback. Use their feedback and testimonials in your prelaunch sequence. People respond to positive comments from other like-minded people so testimonials are essential to creating trust and credibility with your prospects.

5) It’s Go time!

Launch day is when it all happens. Talk to your primary partners and make sure they know what’s happening. Keep things running by giving them any help they need. Try and set aside the entire day to monitor how things are going and be prepared to fix any problems that may occur along the way.
