If you’re the kind of person that likes to travel for their work, one career you might want to consider is travel occupational therapy.
The basic idea behind this job is that you would travel to a location that needs your services, and as soon as that job is done you move on to the next one. Most of these jobs will last up to about 13 weeks, and once you’re done you can either take a break for a week or two or move right on to your next job. How’s that for lifestyle?
This type of job is great for someone just getting started in the field of occupational therapy. Rather than settling down in one location you’ll have the flexibility to meet a lot of people and see lots of different places. And at the same time you’ll be building an impressive resume for any future, more permanent employers.
Once you’ve had enough of the traveling, you should be able to settle down in one location because of your impressive resume.
In order to get this kind of job, you’ll need to have a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree in occupational therapy. The good news is that there are several colleges that have distance education courses to help you get your degree no matter where you currently live.
People that work in this field also get paid rather well. If you do some job searches online or at a staffing agency, you’ll find that some occupational therapists can make $80,000 or more. Not bad, especially if you’re getting paid to travel from place to place.
This is the kind of job that gives you a lifestyle that others won’t. And as soon as you’re ready to settle down into one place you can very easily. And you’ll have the resume to back up your skills you’ve learned as you’ve been a travel occupational therapist.
