How To Double Your Website’s Traffic In 3 Simple Steps

You’re about to discover a simple strategy for generating hundreds or even thousands of targeted visitors to your website, by making one small change to your content. It’s fast and simple to do, and if you do it right, will have a profound effect on your profits. The sad thing is that most website owners either don’t understand the importance of using this technique, or they do it the wrong way and get penalized.

What am I talking about?

It’s vitally important that you make sure to correctly optimize your website’s images for Image Search. You need to optimize every graphic on your site in so you get found by people looking through the Google and Yahoo image directories. Here are the three steps you need to take to get maximum benefit from every image on your website.

Step 1 – When you name each image, make sure you use a keyword that relates to the topic the image is actually about. Then add a keyword-rich Alt tag to each graphic. Always try to add a number of these keyword optimized Graphics to each of your site’s pages to attract additional traffic from Google and Yahoo Images.

For example, an image of people on a Beach in Puerto Rico might be called puerto-rico-beach-party.jpg, and your Alt tag might say Puerto Rico Beach Party. It’s important that you don’t try to fool the Search Engines by calling an image something unrelated; you could be penalized for it.

Step 2 – Make sure the pages containing your Images are optimized correctly for the same or similar keywords. This will help to keep your site congruent in the eyes of Google and Yahoo. For example, the file name for a page containing an image you’ve called Puerto Rico Beach would be called puerto-rico-beach.html or something close to that. It should at least have the keyword phrase Puerto Rico in the file name, the Title Tag and Description if possible.

Once you have started optimizing your images correctly, keep adding more content and optimized Graphics to your website, and your organic search engine traffic will continue to grow. This technique is so effective because most people don’t understand it’s importance, or don’t know exactly what to do. if you optimize your images, you will have a clear advantage over other websites in your market, and your traffic should receive a significant boost.

Step 3 – Now this is really important. Do NOT name the images of your Guarantees, Order Buttons or other ancillary Graphics in this fashion – use numbers instead. Google looks at the total number of images on each page and determines how relevant each image is to the page’s content. If you have 4 images on a page and 2 of them relate to a beach in Puerto Rico, while 2 that are called order.jpg and guarantee.jpg, the images on that page will only be seen as 50% relevant to the rest of the page content. You don’t want that to happen.

If your Order and Guarantee Graphics are called numbers such as 0098.jpg and 0099.jpg instead, Google seems to disregard them, and your page images will be seen as 100% relevant and on topic, giving you additional love from the Search Engines, and potentially increasing your rankings, traffic and profits.
