What happens in medical school? During your first two years, you will study anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, microbiology, pharmacology and pathology. You will learn how to look at patients and take medical histories. As you move forward, you will visit hospitals where you will observe and work closely with other doctors. You will likely be introduced to many fields of medicine such as internal medicine, family practice, obstetrics, gynecology, surgery and pediatrics.
Lastly, you will become a resident doctor for three to seven years in order to obtain more experience in your specialty. You will eventually become a health professional and will need to dress appropriately.
