Writing An Impressive Sales Proposal

Your sales proposal determines whether you’re going to get a deal closed or not. It is also the starting level of what you are attempting to build, that is, your business. You should know by now that the foundations of a successful business are the relationships you have built with your clients, therefore, when making a sales proposal, make sure that the contents reveal how sincere and honest you are in your intentions.

When writing your sales proposal, always commence by having a clear objective in mind. Avoid beating around the bush, or else, recipients will not think twice not to finish reading your proposal and throw it in the trash instead. In your outline, include the four most essential factors namely, direction, sales presentation, final negotiation, and deal closer.

Be careful when using words in your proposal. Instead of emphasizing what you want to get from your client, emphasize the benefits they would be getting if they close the deal with you. This will get you better results. Consequently, be concise with your proposal, focusing only on crucial factors and emphasizing the benefits you can offer your client.

There is nothing more impolite than writing a proposal that suggests you are only after closing the deal and making a sale. If you write your proposal this way, do not expect your client to give you any chance at all. Make sure your letter is written in a manner that tells your client you want to establish an enduring relationship with him and his company and that you’re not just after making the sale at all.

Making empty promises is an excellent way to be rejected. When writing a sales proposal, include only what you can actually offer and avoid exaggerating or going beyond your resources. Doing so will not only result in you being rejected but also in you and your company’s credibility being destroyed. Moreover, be careful in using words that suggest you are better than what you can truly offer.

Most importantly, do not leave essential information out. Proofread what you have written to make sure your grammar is perfect and no important detail such as proper salutation, contact details, and the like are missed. Sincerity is your ultimate weapon not only in establishing but also in maintaining success in your business – so, master it as one of your values.
