Why is it that most couples end up in therapy or counseling of some variety when their marriage gets so confusing and painful that they can’t bear it themselves? There is an assumption that a third party will somehow be able to save a marriage by doing some of the work. So, how does this really work for them?

College atmosphere is a stressful time for almost all students. Getting along with roommates, dealing with new social pressures, being exposed to alcohol or drugs, managing finances, meeting academic demands – all while being away from home for the first time and without familiar sources of support – can leave many students feeling overwhelmed, confused and stressed out. While much of the stress and anxiety that college students experience is normal and even healthy, some will experience chronic, relentless anxiety that may be a sign of an anxiety disorder.

We live in a world today that is loaded with stress. Picture stress as a heavy weight, or, in fact, look at stress as a barbell with a weight on each end. We put the bar bell on our shoulders and starting out with a light weight we have no problem. We can handle. The next day we add an additional weight. We feel the difference but we can still handle it
